We welcome you on Friday, November 14 or Sunday, November 16 to take part in the approximately 25-40 minute improvised dance performance “Det [o]kända”, with Eddie Yalman and Julian “Joujou” Namroud who will also have invited local and regional guest artists. Improvisation performance is based on a unique meeting between hip hop and house dance and sound art, where different methods, forms and movements are explored on site. Improvisations dance performance “Det [o]kända” is free and open to all ages/groups.

The dance performance “Det [o]kända” will invite you as an audience to a meeting between Eddie, Julian and the invited local and regional guest artists, where they speak through movements with the help of live music that gives the performance its unique atmosphere. The performance is a unique story, where the movement is enhanced by music, light and other scenic tools, it will grow as a living story in the present - in the interaction between the dancers, the music and the space, this becomes a way of encountering the strange. The artists Eddie, Julian and the guest artists will meet for the first time just before the performance starts and from there they will take the stage together for the first time to explore “Det [o]kända” on site together with you as an audience.

Eddie and Julian have explored the question of “strangership” for a year as Kommunkoreografer in Borås with participants from Borås, where the city itself has answered anonymously what a stranger can mean to them. Through some of the answers, all artists involved will improvise different methods, forms and movements directly on site with live music.

Tracks can be a song, a trail or a path.

A path to get lost on, and traces to follow in the search for ”the right track”. But also the needle that follows the track on the vinyl record, the sounds that arise from dust grains, and create that recognizable crackle. A reminder of the pre-digital world. The analog time before we became wireless. When wires connected us together, when the tangle created a community.

Tracks wants to make us remember that the future always carries opportunities to change direction, to build something different.

Tracksis Viktor Fröjd’s latest work, which is also his tenth full-length performance. Yared Tilahun Cederlund and Viktor Fröjd both have their roots in street dance and have worked together for many years in several notable works. Now, as a duo, they want to use the interaction that they have developed through rhythm, mystery and friendship.

The performance is presented in collaboration with Hip Hop Revolution Festival, which takes place November 19-23.
