OPEN PANEL TALK

"Revolution talks"

Welcome to this year's edition of "Revolution talks" with our talented moderator Nina Rajabi. She will be guesting with this year's artist Khoudia Touré, Niki Awandee and Viktor Fröjd.

Theme
This year we will get to take part in a deep discussion between moderator Nina Rajabi and guests Khoudia Touré, Niki Awandee & Viktor Fröjd about how it is to be a diverse artist in different performing arts fields. What are the advantages, setbacks and challenges of being diverse artist.

Nina Rajabi

Nina Rajabi is a freelance creator active in the roles of dramaturge, creative producer, host, dancer, DJ, organizer and project manager. The focus of her work is to work together with other actors and projects that hold space, challenge perspectives and arouse feelings about the human. Nina is one of three sun maids from the collective Solektah, where time is dedicated to her own artistic processes and expressions.

Khoudia Touré

Recognised in the hip-hop and house dance scene, Khoudia Touré is a dancer, choreographer, and teacher. Originally from Senegal, she built her career through the creation of shows, competitions, and artistic projects combining various disciplines. She is one of the founding members of Compagnie La Mer Noire, and has also worked as a dancer with Compagnie Kilai.

Khoudia has distinguished herself in several international competitions; such as Juste Debout, Hip-Hop Games Concept, Random Circles, Flavourama, and Summer Dance Forever, which she won in 2021 in the House dance category. She is also the co-founder of the Association Maggando in Dakar, Senegal, a space where dancers meet to practice their art and develop their professional careers; and created her own dance company, Compagnie KHOR.

Niki Awandee

Niki Tsappos is a choreographer, dancer and teacher. She teaches worldwide and has won a number of international dance competitions and awards, including the Gannevik Scholarship and the City of Stockholm Cullberg Prize. She and Martha Nabwire were the first female duo to win Juste Debout (world championships in street dance) in 2010. Their collaboration was chronicled in the acclaimed documentary film Martha & Niki in 2016, which won two Guldbagge Awards that year.

Viktor Fröjd

Viktor has been active in the street dance scene for over 20 years. He has competed in numerous battles, is hired as a dancer in performances, choreographed large and small works, and founded and runs the Malmö Dance Week festival.

During this year's panel discussion

we will discuss and take a deep dive into the mind of Khoudia, Niki Awandee & Viktor Fröjd around the topic the diverse artist. The panel discussion is formed on site based on all participants and ends with inviting the audience to ask questions.
