Hiphop Revolution Festival 2025 is a sixteenth year dance festival and regardless of whether you want to watch a dance competition or participate yourself, go to a day club, take a lot of dance workshops, see various dance performances or enjoy a open panel talk, this year's edition offers something for everyone. All activities that take place during the festival are both drug-free, adjusted sound level for families with children and can be enjoyed both as a participant or audience, whether you are younger or older. The festival is made from dancers to dancers and also for everyone who wants to experience dance, music, culture and entertainment. Open to all ages, including groups and families.
- Don't miss to join the festival's sixteenth year edition with us, we are happy to present another year with lots of dancing, jam, cultural activities and pure community. Since 2009, the festival has always invested in inclusion and spread a lot of dance culture. The festival started for the first five years in Jönköping but will be held for the eleventh time in Gothenburg, Sweden. -
We start the festivals program with the official performing-arts day. The festival will offer a two dance performance; Improvisation dance performance "Det [o]kända" with Eddie Yalman & Julian "Joujou" Namroud together with invite dancers/composers on 14-16 November and "Tracks" with Viktor Fröjd & Yared Tilahun Cederlund on 22-23 November.
Next up on the program thursday 20 November at Atalante with the annual free open panel talk "Revolution talks" with our moderator Nina Rajabi & invited guests Khoudia Touré, Niki Awandee and Viktor Fröjd.
During fridays program 21 November we will offer; three 90 minutes intermediate level dance-workshop in hip hop, popping, house dance & five 60 minutes beginner/open level dance-workshop in hip hop, popping, house dance, breaking and locking with this years judges.
Saturdays program 22 November we will enter the Surr Arena with clubbing in mind, that includes cypher tryouts in the solo categories hip hop, popping, house dance, breaking, junior allstyle 16- & adult allstyle 17+. Each cypher tryout is 75 minutes. You can join the club both as an audience and as a dance competitor, where the entrance band will show who is competing and who is clubbing. The club is both drug-free, the noise level adjusted for children and is also family-friendly, so anyone can participate. Limited seating.
Sundays program 23 November we invite you to Trädgår´n for the final day of the festival. Sunday will include top 8 in the solo categories & the allstyle categories. From top 4 we will merge the two allstyle solo categories and create 2 versus 2 "Battle 4 Generations". "Battle 4 Generations" will include one junior allstyle & one adult allstyle team. In addition to the dance competition, we will also have live act, cypher, jam, judge showcases & much more.
*The event will also offer limited edition sustainability clothing from Dedicated Brand and more entertainment as performances, showcase, open dancefloor, pre-party, afterparty and a lot more fun during the whole dance event.
